Furthering my programming skills into web development felt the next step. I feel as though programs are moving towards online web applications with subscription models that improve useability (and a sneaky improve cash flow - we'll leave that discussion for another day).
Online services and subscriptions allow for users to have the latest features on their apps and have bug fixes updated quickly, without the need for companies to need to support older versions - there is no "old" version to maintain!
I started looking into React as a solution to these problems, there are many frameworks out there to pick from... the decision to go with react/nextjs was not an easy one when you don't know anything about them. But I took the plunge and this seemed the best one to go with. Though even if it isn't for this type of project, the skillset was still amazing to learn.
After a few tutorials, I felt it was time to learn but doing a project and came up with this idea as it would have a good amount of features, languages, and difficulty. Also felt that even if no-one else uses it, I would.
